An Architectural Point of View

INSPIRATION FOR THE INTERNAL FINISHES IS DRAWN FROM THE NATURAL SURROUNDINGS WHICH EMBRACE THE SITE.

The interiors emphasize seamless design and luxurious details. Living, dining, and kitchen ceilings are crafted in textured off-shutter concrete, while bedrooms and bathrooms feature suspended plasterboard for a refined contrast. Light fittings are flush-mounted for a clean, cohesive appearance. Italian textured floor tiles extend throughout the villa, providing a calm, neutral backdrop that adapts to various furnishings. Bedroom walls combine white plaster and timber cladding for a fresh, contemporary aesthetic, while bathrooms feature large grey tiles for a seamless, luxurious floor-to-wall finish.

The state-of-the-art kitchen includes integrated appliances and high-end fixtures for functionality and durability. The entrance foyer and lift core are clad in muted metallic gold Italian tiles, illuminated by recessed LED lighting to evoke sunlight on Camps Bay’s beaches. Sea-facing terraces are constructed from imported Deco Wood, chosen for its durability in the coastal environment. Additional features include access control systems, roof-mounted photovoltaic panels, energy-efficient lighting, and air-conditioning in all bedrooms, ensuring comfort and sustainability throughout.

The architecture of the building maximizes ocean views while creating a serene and private environment for each home. This is achieved through courtyard gardens, terraced landscaping, and green roofs planted with indigenous flora, enhancing the sense of “living in nature.” Each home features three bedrooms, a spacious open-plan kitchen, dining, and living area that seamlessly connects to a covered terrace and pool on one side and a landscaped courtyard garden on the other. Large sliding doors on both sides allow uninterrupted views and enhance the indoor-outdoor living experience. The ground floor includes an entrance lobby and gallery with direct lift access to each home, while a double garage and dedicated storerooms are provided for convenience.

Materials have been carefully chosen to reflect a contemporary aesthetic rooted in natural tones and textures inspired by the Twelve Apostles mountain range. A raw off-shutter concrete structure is paired with light grey Italian floor tiles and natural timber elements like feature walls, privacy screens, and terrace decking. This palette mirrors the muted tones of Camps Bay’s granite boulders, fynbos, and rugged sandstone cliffs, blending the design with its natural surroundings.
